Premium Textures bringing High Pressure Laminate surfaces to life
April 2011
Texture can bring a surface to life and plays an increasingly important role in creating exciting interiors. With this in mind the Formica Group offers four stunning premium textures in it's Plain Color High Pressure Laminate (HPL) range, Rigato™, MicroDot™, Sculpted™ and AR Plus®.
Texture can add another sense to your surroundings, enhance a simple plain colour surface and add an extra dimension to a design that will create a lasting impression. Premium textures are promoted in the new Formica® Collection.
Rigato™ is a modern classic, offering an interpretation of a pinstripe combined with an embossed texture which adds depth to the surface. The subtle contrast between matt and gloss finishes creates visual and tactile interest providing that extra dimension for a broad range of vertical applications and will have a timeless appeal.
Whether used on interior wall coverings, on furniture and fittings or as door facings, Sculpted™ will transform a surface. Beautifully tactile, Sculpted offers an on-trend look, answering the demand for sculpted, scraped and wire-brushed surfaces. Available in 12 colours, from the subtle neutrals of Kashmir and Storm to vibrant Lime and bright orange of Levante, or the mellow tone of Cassis, this exciting surface finish creates an interesting dimension to plain colour surfaces.
Meanwhile MicroDot™ is not only interesting to touch, but also adds a visual depth to a range of fashionable solid colours with an appealing optical effect from a distance. It offers a fashionable and modern surface, with subtle concave circles arranged in a tight grid formation, and a low sheen, satin finish.
Perfect for adding emphasis and a luxurious finish, AR Plus® creates a striking yet sophisticated design feature. Responding to the strong trend for glossy, reflective looks, AR Plus features in a selection of stylish new colours and selected wood designs. Stunning when used on vibrant plain colours and black or white, this highly scuff resistant gloss surface also adds an exotic finish to luxurious new introductions such as Couture Wood and Vogue Wood.
Through product development which utilises new technology in the manufacturing process, Formica Group has been able to create these exciting new textures. They are unique, offer enhanced style opportunities, and help to demonstrate how Formica Group continues to lead the market.
